Mets Interested In Brad Ausmus To Replace Terry Collins

The New York Mets have zeroed in on a replacement for manager Terry Collins, who resigned after seven years with the team.

The Mets have reached out to former Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus and they’ve had one conversation to date, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

Heyman noted that the Philadelphia Phillies could also be interested in Ausmus.

Ausmus was 314-332 in Detroit and was let go after an abysmal season in Detroit.
