Indians Bring Back Carl Willis As Hitting Coach


The Cleveland Indians are bring back Carl Willis.

Willis will replace Mickey Callaway, who took the New York Mets managerial job, as the Indians’ hitting coach.

This is the 2nd stint in Cleveland for Willis who served as Cleveland’s pitching coach from 2003-09, mentoring the likes of CC Sabathia and Cliff Lee.

Willis, 56, spent the past two seasons with the Boston Red Sox and has been a pitching coach for 14 seasons.
