on

In last night’s Game 4 of the NLCS, Cubs catcher Willson Contreras hit one of the longest home runs you’ll ever see.

Take a look at this 0-0 offering from Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood get sent into orbit:

The majestic blast to open last night’s scoring in the second inning hit the Wrigley Field scoreboard and traveled 491 feet according to Statcast. It marked the longest postseason home run on record it’s tracked since the technology was introduced to all 30 MLB teams at the start of the 2015 season.

Sure, the wind was blowing out some last night, but that was a big time home run any way you look at it. Contreras got ALL of it!

Definitely worthy of a bat flip:

WILLLLLLLL-SON!

The near 500-foot missile helped the Cubs win 3-2 to avoid a sweep and force a Game 5, which is tonight at 8 PM ET.
