Yankees Finish Managerial Interviews, Who They Should Hire

Published

on

The New York Yankees have finished conducting interviews for their managerial opening, general manager Brian Cashman told the media, according to Ken Davidoff of the New York Post.

The Yankees have conducted interviews with Aaron Boone, Eric Wedge, Carlos Beltran, Rob Thomson, Hensley Meulens and Chris Woodward.

The Yankees will reportedly not conduct a second round of interviews with any of the candidates that they have interviewed.

Boone and Beltran have never even coached at the professional level, but are intriguing candidates that should be the final two options as the Bombers narrow down their list.

Both candidates bring youth and energy to a young and rising team with Beltran playing recently for the Yankees and serving as a mentor to players such as Gary Sanchez and others.

In my opinion the Yankees will hire Carlos Beltran, a candidate who only became a candidate recently, when Beltran retired, ending his 20-year playing career.
