MLB has announced that AJ Pollock and Francisco Lindor are the National League and American League Players of the Week, respectively.

Pollock continued his red-hot start to the season, following his NL Player of the Month award for March/April with his fourth career Player of the Week honor.

Pollock hit .423 with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs this past week, including a 3 home run game against the Dodgers and a walk-off single against the Astros. He also had an NL-leading 1.000 slugging percentage.

The Pollock-led Diamondbacks spilt a 4 game series with the Dodgers and won 2 out of 3 against the Astros, going a combined 4-3 against the two teams that made the 2017 World Series.

Francisco Lindor picked up his first career Player of the Week honor, slashing .425/.439/.825 with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs.

Lindor, however, struggled defensively, which led in part to a 3-5 record for the Indians last week. The Indians went 2-1 against the Rangers and spilt a doubleheader with the Blue Jays, but they ended the week getting swept by the Yankees.
