Twins’ Joe Mauer, Logan Morrison Clear Revocable Trade Waivers

Published

on

Minnesota Twins veteran hitters Joe Mauer and Logan Morrison both went unclaimed during trade waiver process, according to the Pioneer Press’s Mike Berardino.

Both players are eligible to be dealt for the remainder of the season, but Mauer’s remaining owed money is likely a deterent for many interested teams, as it, and his full no-trade clause, probably was during the trade waiver process.

Mauer is not the player he once was, seeing a significant downturn over the course of the last few seasons.

Morrison signed a one-year, $5.5M with Minnesota during the offseason, including a $1M buyout of a club option year for 2019.

The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms on a one-year, major league deal with right hander Shelby Miller, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.
