Dodgers’ Yasiel Puig Suspended for Two Games

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasile Puig has been suspended for two-games and fined for “fighting and inciting a bench-clearing incident” during a recent confrontation with the San Francisco Giants, according to the Los Angeles Times’ Bill Shaikin.

Additionally, Giants catcher Nick Hundley received a fine. Puig indicated the he would appeal the suspension. If he does, he can keep playing until the appeal is resolved.

Dodgers Discussed Joc Pederson with Teams

The Los Angeles Dodgers have discussed trade scenarios involving outfielder Joc Pederson with a number of teams, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.

Among the teams that have talked with the Dodgers include the Chicago White Sox, and the Atlanta Braves, among others.

Pederson, 26, could be dealt to create room in the outfield for an outside addition, such as A.J. Pollock, who the Dodgers have been linked to this offseason.

Dodgers Met with Bryce Harper, Yankees Likely to Follow

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reportedly held a sit-down meeting with free agent outfielder Bryce Harper, with a delegation led by minority-owner Magic Johnson who all traveled to Harper’s home town of Las Vegas, according to Yahoo Sports’ Tim Brown and Jeff Passan.

The Dodgers had previously tried to acquire Harper, when the Nationals waived him around the waiver deadline last season.

Additionally, the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies are both expected to meet with Harper face-to-face in the near future, per the report.
