Giants’ Andrew McCutchen Clears Revocable Trade Waivers

San Francisco Giants’ outfielder Andrew McCutchen has officially cleared revocable trade waivers, meaning that the veteran can now be traded to any team, according to The Athletic’s Robert Murray.

McCutchen, 31, is still owed $3.155M of this season’s $14.75M salary, and he remains one of the most likely players to be traded, given the Giants position in the NL West and Wild Card race, and is not going to be in the starting lineup on Thursday.

McCutchen has a .255/.353/.412 slash line with 14 homers this season.

The Mariners will receiver minor-league pitcher Sal Biasi as part of the deal.

Freitas will immediately report to Triple-A after appearing in 36 games with the Mariners last season.

The Colorado Rockies have placed left-hander Tyler Anderson on the 10-day injured list due to left knee inflammation, according to an official team announcement.

Anderson, 29, has struggled to start the season, giving up 11 runs over his first 2 starts of the 2019 campaign.

In a corresponding move, the Rockies have recalled right-hander Yency Almonte from Triple-A.
