Giants Exercise Options for Madison Bumgarner, Pablo Sandoval

Published

on

The San Francisco Giants have announced that they have exercised club options on left hander Madison Bumgarner and veteran third baseman Pablo Sandoval.

Bumgarner has declined a bit over the past 2 seasons, but at a $12 million rate, he is an affordable investment for the Giants, and could return to form next season.

Sandoval will now have to earn a roster spot in training camp as he is recovering from a season-ending injury. Despite his apparent struggled lately, Sandoval was still productive prior to going down with the injury this season posting a .248/.310/.417 slash line.
