Dodgers Interest in Francisco Lindor

The Los Angeles Dodgers are already formulating their plan for the offseason and that reportedly includes exploring a trade for Cleveland Indians shortstop Franciso Lindor.

According to MLB.com’s Jon Morosi, the Dodgers organization is expected to open trade talks with the Indians regarding Lindor this offseason, and have already crafted a clear plan to go after Lindor, widely considered one of the game’s premier young players.

However, the Dodgers are expected to have plenty of competition on the trade market.

Cleveland Indians reliever Neil Ramirez will remain within the organization after clearing outright waivers and accepting an assignment to Triple-A, according to an official team announcement.

Ramirez landed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Indians this offseason, avoiding arbitration.

Ramirez, 29, has struggled during the 2019 season and maybe a stint in Triple A will help him work things out.

Indians Activate Francisco Lindor, DFA Hanley Ramirez

The Cleveland Indians have activated star shortstop Francisco Lindor from the injured list on Saturday.

In a corresponding move, the Indians have designated veteran Hanley Ramirez for assignment to create the necessary roster spot for the return of Lindor.

Ramirez, 35, appeared in 16 games this season for Cleveland, posting a slash line of .184/.298/.327 with two home runs.

Indians’ Francisco Lindor To Begin Rehab Assignment

Cleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor is set to being his rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus, according to MLB.com’s Mandy Bell.

Lindor is returning from a calf strain and a high left ankle sprain, which has kept him out of the start of the 2019 season.

Lindor is one of baseball’s most promising young stars and is coming off an MVP caliber season in 2018.
